Project Engineer - TriBeca

Summary

Lead technical development and project management for sculpture and nuanced gem cutting projects, bridging artistic vision and engineering to realize complex creations from concept to production. Support R&D efforts including new material and finishing development, testing and documentation, supplier relationships, and cross functional collaboration in a hybrid working mode with some travel.

• Develop and explore new materials, technologies and manufacturing methods for sculptures and gem cutting projects
• Manage projects including schedules, meeting agendas, recaps and delivery of project plans
• Own cross functional communication and coordination related to sculpture projects
• Assist with hands on creation of sculptures, including travel when necessary
• Support Senior Director of Engineering with innovation efforts and strategic goals
• Execute testing and documentation of R&D processes for new materials and finishes
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendor facility technical managers
• Provide consultant support for stone sourcing, mineral acquisition and vendor selection

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
• Strong critical thinking and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated time management, prioritization, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing techniques, precious metal metallurgy or investment casting a plus
• Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and Oracle software a plus
