Job Summary
Help us connect communities across Western New York. TYLin is hiring a Bridge Engineer to join a collaborative team that's redefining how infrastructure is planned, designed, and delivered.
Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations for bridges and related structures.
- Develop bridge layouts, structural details, 3D models, construction plans, load rating analyses, specifications, and material quantity calculations.
- Build and refine bridge analysis models to evaluate performance and constructability.
- Collaborate daily with multidisciplinary teammates (highway, traffic, civil, and more) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients while maintaining a strong commitment to quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structures focus);
Master's preferred. - 2+ years of bridge design and analysis experience.
- Familiarity with AASHTO and NYSDOT design standards (preferred).
- Proficiency with bridge design software and Computer‑Aided Drafting (Micro Station preferred).
- Familiarity with structural analysis software such as SAP
2000, CSiBridge, L‑Pile, LEAP, etc. - Strong technical writing, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- NY PE or the ability to obtain within one year (preferred).
- Energized by innovation and continuous learning.
- Collaborative and comfortable working across disciplines.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to delivering quality work.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. We have provided the base compensation range of $83,000 - $127,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
