Location: New York

TB3 NDT Consulting LLC is currently looking for an experienced NAS 410 Certified Level 2/3 with NDT experience to support our operations in New York, Tri-state Area, Georgia & Arizona. Candidates with ASNT NDT Level 3 certifications are preferred. If the candidate is a current Level 2, then the candidate may start as a TB3 NDT Level 3 trainee
, assisting our Level 3's in performing classroom training, hands‑on training, examiner and auditing services primarily. The Level 3 must be capable of technical writing, developing procedures, techniques and writing reports according to but not limited to Aerospace, Space, Defense and general industry requirements. The Level 3 Technician may be responsible for on‑the‑job training and guidance of Trainees, Level 2 and Level 3s in the capacity as a consultant and advisor working for our company.

Responsibilities

for the NDT Level 3
  • Possess an NAS 410 Level 3 certifications, at a minimum, in the PT, MT and UT methods, RT & ET are a plus
  • Manage NDT Programs in its entirety as Responsible Level 3
  • Provide Management oversight and technical direction for all NDT operations
  • Manage NDT workload, scheduled and unscheduled, in meeting all production time frames and required completion dates
  • Provide Production Controllers cost estimates on man hours, materials and schedules for NDT services
  • Ensure that NDT ASTM requirements, the customer’s requirements, and those of NAS 410 are met effectively and entirely
  • Develop and approve NDT procedures, process control requirements, and inspection techniques
  • Possibly Perform NDT inspections and accept/reject items
  • Designated as NDT Examiner and certify NDT Technicians once all qualification and certification requirements are met
  • Responsible for maintaining the qualification and certification records of NDT personnel
  • Develop training courses, provide formal classroom training and document OJT Training
  • Designate responsibilities to personnel certified IAW the Written Practice
  • Perform Internal Audits of NDT Programs
  • Analyze and evaluate NDT equipment for capability and applicability against mission requirements
  • NDT SME and participate in acquisition for the purchase of NDT equipment
  • POC for the Service Contracts of NDT equipment
  • Serves as final authority for QA matters related to NDT
  • Maintain contact and work with other commands, agencies, and private contractors.
Education and Experience
  • NAS 410 Certified Level 2/3 PT, MT, UT preferred ( RT & ET are a plus )
  • Prior CR/DR (non-film) and film certified personnel are preferred but not required
  • Prefer ASNT NDT Level 3 Certifications in at least PT and MT (RT & ET is a plus)
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment and able to provide on the job training for clients
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred

  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments due to aircraft hangers and ramps
  • Work in and near industrial environments
