Structural engineering firm has an immediate opening for an AutoCAD draftsperson. This is a full‑time position based in Long Island City, Queens.
Drafter will work closely with engineers and others in the office, with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and experience in demolition engineering and structural design.
Full‑time position (40 hours per week). Must be able to come to work at our office in LIC. Proper work authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Please do not apply if you are not within commuting distance of New York City.
Duties and Responsibilities- Create detailed, accurate construction plans for structural engineering projects (commercial and residential).
- Work alongside engineers to make corrections to the drawings.
- 2+ years in AutoCAD experience.
- Must have working experience in engineering/architectural drafting.
- Must be able to generate plans and sections.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
