MEP Superintendent

Overview

A leading general contractor and major player in the mission-critical/data center construction space
, delivering large-scale, complex projects for some of the world’s top technology clients. We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a strong MEP background to lead field operations across our growing portfolio of data center builds nationwide.

• Lead day-to-day on-site construction activities with a focus on MEP systems for data center projects
• Manage and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage subcontractors
• Oversee installation, startup, and commissioning of critical systems (HVAC, chillers, switch gear, UPS, generators, BMS)
• Develop and manage short-term lookahead schedules and ensure alignment with the master project schedule
• Enforce site safety standards (OSHA) and maintain a strong safety culture
• Monitor quality control (QA/QC) and ensure all work complies with project specifications and industry standards
• Coordinate inspections, manage RFIs, and resolve field issues in collaboration with project teams
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress tracking, and project documentation
• Support project closeout, turnover, and client handover processes

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with strong MEP focus
• Proven experience on data center or mission-critical projects preferred
• Deep understanding of MEP systems, sequencing, and commissioning processes
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Experience with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
• OSHA certification preferred

• Willingness to travel nationwide and work on rotational assignments
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand project environments
• Strong communication and coordination skills
