Supports laboratory functions for production and/or development teams. Responsible for set‑up and calibration of test equipment, execution of test procedures, data recording and reporting, and laboratory supply management.

• Responsibilities include setup, maintenance, and operation of compressor performance and reliability test stands ranging in capacity from 1 to 1500 Tons.
• Ability to perform hands‑on work with mechanical and electrical systems including knowledge of best practices for piping systems as well as power and control system wiring per NEC and UL codes. Use of test and measurement equipment and lab data acquisition systems.
• Associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology with 1 to 4 plus years of related experience.
• Candidate must have experience with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.
• Working knowledge of commercial‑industrial wiring, hydronic systems, AC Motors and Controls.
• Experience with single‑phase and three‑phase electrical power systems, VFDs, PLCs, PID Controls, transducers, flow meters, lab instrumentation and electrical test equipment including Yokogawa Power Analyzers.
• Experience with National Instruments‑LabVIEW data acquisition systems is a plus.
• Universal EPA Section 608 certification is required.
• Ability to braze large piping using oxy‑acetylene torches and use overhead cranes and rigging equipment for test setups.
• Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) including forklifts and work savers and obtain required medical certification.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
• In addition to the responsibilities and requirements listed above, the person should be self‑motivated and capable of working with an experienced technical team.
• The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced changing environment is essential to succeed in this position.
