In this role, you will lead MEPFP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) design teams for projects ranging in size for Healthcare and Laboratory renovations and new builds. You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge, skills, and responsibilities in engineering, project management, and client engagement, while you help to deliver outstanding projects to WSP's clients.

Your Impact
  • Lead MEPFP project teams from project inception through completion.
  • Provide technical oversight for all trade disciplines with, ideally, a high level of expertise in HVAC or Electrical engineering design.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, and schedules, and obtain management/client approval.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status and quality, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors, regulatory authorities and technical agencies, and the public. This involves keeping the stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables and meet the project schedule.
  • Proactively manage, track, analyze, and report on actual performance against plan, and prepare cost and schedule reporting both for clients and as part of internal reporting processes. Address change management matters promptly and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze project management and project delivery risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action.
  • Lead and manage business development initiatives including Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals; with input from others, compile a comprehensive and realistic scope of work, and prepare a complete and accurate fee estimate, in a format suitable for obtaining the required management approvals and submittal to clients.
  • Provide general administrative and technical leadership for the project. Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence, either directly or through delegation to an assistant or deputy Project Manager.
  • Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity.
  • Schedule and lead multi-disciplinary coordination efforts with the support of discipline or task leads.
  • Administer subconsultant agreements as assigned.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Project Safety and Project Quality Control plans throughout the project.
  • Proactively track and report workload management throughout the project.
  • Management of client and subconsultant invoicing.
  • Review contract claims and advise senior management.
  • Grow your network and expand your perspective through involvement in local industry organizations, events, and technical committees—active participation and leadership is encouraged and supported by WSP.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
