Transportation Systems Planner – Mobility and Long-Range Planning

The Transportation Systems Planner will design, simulate, and optimize multimodal transportation networks across New York's evolving transit infrastructure. You’ll support long-range planning, policy modeling, and investment optimization.

• Develop integrated transportation models and simulations.
• Analyze and recommend policy changes for mobility improvements.
• Prepare scenario-based funding and investment models.
• Conduct demand forecasting and ridership analytics.
• Engage with agencies on strategic transportation planning initiatives.

• Master’s in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent.

• 5+ years in transportation or transit planning.

• VISSIM, Synchro, Visum, TransCAD
• Policy analysis and long-range plan development
• GIS-based transit planning
• Strong stakeholder communication

• AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners)
• PTP (Professional Transportation Planner)
