Infrastructure Engineer

We're working with a repeat client, a well-funded technology company based in Brooklyn, looking to bring on a senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a hands-on senior IC role sitting at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and security engineering. You'll have broad ownership across the security posture of the platform, working closely with a lean, high-calibre engineering team to build secure, reliable systems from the ground up.

• Own the security posture of cloud infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes-based environments
• Build and operate detection and response capabilities, including SIEM/SOAR systems for capable incident response
• Design and maintain secrets, credential, and access management architecture across all services
• Partner with engineering to enforce secure-by-default patterns across IAM, network segmentation, privilege, and access control
• Contribute to platform security strategy as the product and infrastructure evolves

• 3+ years in infrastructure security, security operations, or platform engineering with strong security ownership
• Hands‑on Kubernetes security experience: RBAC, network policies, admission control, and secrets handling
• Experience architecting and operating SIEM/SOAR systems
• Real incident response experience as an IC, including communicating under pressure with non‑technical stakeholders
• Comfortable writing and shipping code in either of the following:
  Python/GO/Typescript
• Pragmatic about the tradeoffs between security, velocity, and developer experience in a fast‑moving environment

• Endpoint security operations (EDR/MDR)
• Experience as the first or sole security engineer at a smaller company/start‑up
