Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer will be integral to the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing systems and processes. Your expertise will be applied to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and overall workflow. You will analyze new product designs for manufacturability, and cost, design, build, and validate the tools, fixtures, and equipment needed to manufacture the new product. You will support existing equipment on product lines.
Responsibilities: Process Design and Improvement
• Implement efficient manufacturing processes
• Identify and eliminate potential production bottlenecks
• Continuously improve current manufacturing processes
New Product Integration
• Review product designs for manufacturability
• Estimate costs for tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for capital expense
• Integrate equipment into the layout of the production cell for efficiency Equipment Management
• Select and recommend appropriate equipment for manufacturing processes
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues Cost Reduction and Efficiency
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction in manufacturing processes
• Implement cost saving measures without sacrificing quality
• Monitor production efficiency and implement improvements Project Management
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects
• Prepare project plans and schedules
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed Data Analysis and Reporting
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
• Utilize data to make data driven decisions for process improvement Safety and Compliance
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards Training and Development
• Train and mentor new employees on manufacturing processes and equipment
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for current employees
• Stay informed on new technologies and processes to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 3 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Proficiency in Mechanical software tools (e.g., Solid Works, Creo).
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
• Knowledge of materials selection, machining, and assembly techniques.
