Position OverviewPerform system integration testing and troubleshooting of complex Train Control Systems specifically the DCS (Data Communications System). The role includes developing technical documentation, leading and witnessing functional performance testing, and performing construction inspections.
What your day may look like- Develop technical documentation, including plans, procedures, reports, and troubleshooting guides.
- Perform complex planning of detailed testing and integration activities for CBTC DCS.
- Attend and actively participate in project and construction team meetings.
- Lead and participate in functional performance testing in the field, including nights, weekends and weekdays as required.
- Identify, document, and report system or project issues, and proactively follow up with the Systems Engineering team through resolution.
- Lead maintenance activities for CBTC DCS once in-service to ensure operational reliability.
- Support training activities for CBTC DCS.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in related disciplines with proven ability to perform responsibilities and apply knowledge.
- Required knowledge of Communication‑Based Train Control (CBTC) systems.
- Experience authoring technical reports, procedures, and other formal documentation.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability; ability to collaborate effectively to meet project goals.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working cross‑functionally within Siemens organizations and with external partners.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts by working with stakeholders to identify solutions and facilitate alternatives.
- Valid NYCT track training required.
- OSHA 10‑hour Construction certification within the last 5 years.

Salary range: $ – $ annually. Actual wage may vary based on budget, experience, and qualifications.
