Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York

This opportunity is ideal for a Site/Civil Engineer looking to build strong technical foundations while gaining exposure to a wide variety of land development projects. You’ll work as part of a collaborative engineering team supporting the planning, design, and permitting of commercial, residential, mixed-use, and institutional developments.

In this role, you’ll assist with the preparation of site plans, grading and drainage design, utility layouts, and stormwater management systems. You’ll support engineering calculations, reports, and permit submissions, while coordinating with internal teams, clients, and reviewing agencies. As your experience grows, you’ll take on increased responsibility for design tasks and project coordination.

You’ll be mentored by senior engineers and project managers who are invested in your technical development and long-term career progression. This is a hands-on role that provides real exposure to the full project lifecycle—from early planning through construction documentation and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical exhibits, and design reports
  • Support permitting and agency coordination efforts
  • Collaborate with project managers, planners, and other disciplines
  • Revise plans based on internal review and agency comments
  • Participate in project meetings and occasional site visits

What They’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience in site/civil or land development engineering
  • Working knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • EIT certification preferred or on track to obtain

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits
  • Exposure to diverse land development projects
  • Strong mentorship and technical training
  • Clear path toward increased responsibility and PE licensure support
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented engineering environment

If you’re a Site/Civil Engineer looking to sharpen your technical skills, gain meaningful project exposure, and grow within a respected land development practice, this role is well worth exploring.
