WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Building Enclosures Consultant for our NY office. Be involved in projects with our Enclosures Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
We are looking for a new team member to help manage and consult on projects within Building Enclosures team. We are a growing team that is on the lookout for talent, teamwork, and fresh ideas to continue helping our clients with their needs and driving our practice forward. We have a high volume of NYC FISP projects, new design consulting, and restoration, and renewal projects.

- Conduct FISP inspections and preparation of compliance sets
- Assist project teams with completing building enclosure design reviews.
- Assist project teams with completing building enclosure design drawings and specifications.
- Review fenestration, vertical facade, roofing systems, and waterproofing.
- Assist with performing technical reviews.
- Provide support in completing on-site forensic investigations.
- Assist with conducting functional performance testing of enclosure systems.
- Perform on-site construction observations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or closely related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior enclosures, façade design, and sustainability experience.
- 2 + years as a person directly involved with managing FISP projects
- Professional Licensure/Certification.
- Experience in quality control and management is required.
- Highly familiar with building materials and construction processes for design, construction, and/or repair of building enclosures, façades, waterproofing, cladding systems, roofs, parking structure, and the application to project work-related issues.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with discipline-specific design software (WUFI, THERM, energy modeling).
- Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Capable self‑leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi‑tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups.
- Extensive and successful business development experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Willing and able to travel
- Master’s Degree is preferred in one of the above-listed disciplines.
- QEWI in NYC, or on a path to QEWI
- Knowledge of third‑party green building rating systems (LEED, Passive House, LBC, WELL, or related).
- Experience with building enclosure commissioning
- Proficiency in discipline‑specific design software (i.e., WUFI, THERM, energy modeling)
