Senior Inspector — Roadway, Bridge, Steel, AMPP CIP

RAD Engineers and Consultants PC is a certified DBE/MBE engineering firm based in the NYC Metro area, specializing in construction inspection, structural engineering, and project management for public infrastructure clients including NYSDOT, NYCDOT, TBTA, and the NY Thruway.

We are actively hiring for immediate openings:

Projects:
Bridges, structural steel, highway and transit infrastructure across NYC.

• Lead field inspections on active NYC/NY infrastructure projects
• Verify contractor work against plans, specs, and DOT standards
• Prepare inspection reports, RFIs, and nonconformance documentation
• Mentor and coordinate junior inspectors on-site
• Liaise with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and TBTA.

• 5+ years bridge, structural steel, or DOT inspection experience
• NICET II–IV, CWI, ACI, or equivalent certifications preferred
• Direct experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, or TBTA projects strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication for field reporting

Projects:
Bridge coatings and structural steel, NYC infrastructure.

• Perform coatings and paint inspections per SSPC/AMPP standards
• Document surface prep, DFT readings, holiday testing, and environmental conditions
• Coordinate with project teams and contractors on deviations
• Maintain daily field inspection reports

• AMPP CIP Level 1 required – Level 2 preferred
• Experience on bridge or infrastructure coatings projects
• Familiarity with NYSDOT or NYCDOT inspection protocols a plus
