Senior Project Manager (Transit & Rail Stations)
Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its New York Building and Facility Structures Group and manage large complex multi‑disciplinary projects in the New York Metro area. The primary focus is on planning and delivering Transit & Rail Station projects, leading teams of engineers, architects, and consultants to deliver high‑quality design on time and on budget.

Responsibilities- Manage multiple engineering teams, disciplines, architects and consultants as the Project Manager or Design Manager.
- Manage the design for large multi‑disciplinary complex projects, including Design‑Build delivery methods.
- Provide oversight and quality assurance on design deliverables.
- Perform quality control and progressive checking on structural design drawings and calculations originated by other engineers.
- Develop and/or lead production of technical specifications.
- Coordinate design requirements and scope with the client/owner, contractor and other disciplines or consultants on the project.
- Communicate effectively with client/owner, contractor and design partners in writing and verbally.
- Lead meetings with clients/owners, contractors, discipline leads and design partners.
- Attend site visits and field observations, report findings and recommend solutions.
- Provide engineering proposals including scope, budget, technical write‑ups and design schedule.
- Establish and improve technical standards for the structural discipline.
- Lead structural design production as the Engineer of Record.
- Determine project risk items and recommend mitigation strategies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- An active PE license in New York (or ability to obtain NY PE within 6 months if licensed elsewhere).
- About 15 years of professional experience in structural engineering design, project management and leading teams of engineers.
- Experience with Transit & Rail Station projects.
- Experience developing engineering proposals.
- Experience managing Design‑Build projects.
- Working knowledge of local and international building codes including NYSBC, NYCBC, IBC, ASCE7, AISC, and ACI.
- Experience with structural design and calculations using steel, concrete and masonry materials, and relevant software skills (ETABS, SAFE, Tekla, etc.).
- Experience with MTA C&D (NYCT, LIRR, MNR) Stations projects.
- Self‑motivated with initiative, drive and determination.
- Team‑oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- A clean driving record is required.

The projected range for this position is $156,538 - $223,625 annually, depending on skills, experience, location and market conditions. These ranges are for New York only.
