Senior Traffic Modeler​/Senior Traffic Engineer

Dewberry is seeking a motivated Senior Traffic Modeler or Senior Traffic Engineer to be located in either our New York, NY or New Jersey offices. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a large team of traffic engineers, with projects ranging from local community-focused safety and multimodal projects to large highway improvement projects. The role provides tremendous career growth potential in a highly collaborative environment while working on a broad range of project types for local and national transportation clients.

• Perform and manage large-scale complex traffic analysis and traffic engineering studies
• Conduct safety analysis
• Perform transportation master plan studies
• Meet with clients
• Communicate effectively with internal team members, subconsultant partners, and clients
• Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within the Transportation business unit
• Lead and/or mentor a group of staff traffic engineers
• Assist in proposal development

• BS in Civil Engineering
• PE license preferred, PTOE preferred
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in traffic modeling and engineering
• Proficiency with analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro, Sim Traffic, HCS) required
• Experience in VISUM, SIDRA preferred
• NYCDOT and NYSDOT experience preferred
• Micro Station experience preferred
• Project management and leadership skills preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

The projected range for this position is $144,000 to $170,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
