Job Summary
TYLin's Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services, structural engineering for buildings, includes new construction projects, as well as renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. We also offer expertise in architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services.
Responsibilities- Structural design and analysis for a wide range of building projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
- Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
- Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
- Project management of staff and clients.
- Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
- Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
- Master’s Degree is considered an asset.
- P.E. or S.E. license is considered an asset.
- 6‑10 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional building projects as a Structural Engineer (experience with private residential projects preferred).
- Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g., RISA, SAP, RAM).
- Working knowledge of REVIT.
- Experience in historic buildings preservation is considered an asset.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. The base compensation range for this position is $104,000–$116,000 annually, adjusted for local market.
