Job OverviewProvide technical leadership and expertise in process engineering for semiconductor manufacturing, leading the development of new semiconductor processes and technologies to improve yield, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Lead the development, validation, and implementation of new processes or process improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and conduct continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including design, integration, and production to ensure seamless process flow.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in process engineering.
- Interface with other fabs and global teams for technology transfer and process ramp‑up.
- Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards; create, analyze, and review technical charts.
- Establish SOPs and perform FMEA for related processes.
- Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications, and drive CIP to improve process performance indices.
- Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent foreign degree).
- At least 4years of progressively responsible post‑baccalaureate experience in process engineering for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience managing and optimizing the chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) process to create flat, uniform surfaces for lithography and etching steps.
- Experience in CMP process development for new technologies.
- Experience monitoring process performance and implementing adjustments to maintain quality and yield targets.
- Experience maintaining production quality and yield in semiconductor fabrication.
- Experience with cost control and inventory management.
- Experience with CMP polish tools and CMP recipe creation and development.
- Experience with project management and design of experiments.
Salary range: $130,957 – $146,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
