Location: New York

Position Overview

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 depending on experience. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Meet daily with project crews to confirm all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for the planned construction activities on the schedule.
  • Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project.
  • Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling.
  • Identify risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
  • Notify team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommend solutions for management consideration.
  • Provide project quantity input to ensure project financials are accurately reported.
  • Manage cost coding regarding employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
  • Review and approve daily timecards, assist on-site office manager to resolve any pay discrepancies with crews.
  • Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes.
  • Initiate and manage appropriate permits, certificates, inspections, and other documentation regarding construction activities.
  • Conduct required Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliance work environment for all construction personnel.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings with field team and project leadership; present field analysis as needed.
  • Assist the development of design drawings and provide technical input, as needed.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent.
  • Four (4)+ years of experience as an Engineer.
  • Heavy field interface experience.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and present topics to a group.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Procure (or equivalent), Blue Beam and HCSS.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel).
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
