Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality and reliability for raw materials used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

This role partners closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure robust quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and support manufacturing excellence.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Plan and execute supplier quality system audits using IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 methodologies, driving corrective and preventive actions where needed.
• Investigate supplier-related quality issues through structured problem-solving techniques, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Establish and maintain incoming quality assurance plans, inspection methods, and testing strategies for semiconductor materials and components.
• Lead supplier continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, and enhancing overall supplier performance.
• Manage supplier quality data, audit records, electronic certificates of analysis (eCoA), and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and new product introduction teams to resolve quality concerns and support business objectives.
• Support customer quality requirements related to the supply chain and provide technical responses regarding supplier quality activities.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline

• 5–7+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience, ideally within the semiconductor or advanced electronics manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge of APQP, SPC, MSA, and PPAP/PSW methodologies.
• Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, supplier quality systems, and industry standards.
• Experience with quality methodologies including Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D, and 5 Whys

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
