Job Details

We are seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer/Project Manager. Responsibilities include BAS Systems Integration, optimization, and full systems replacements within the Commercial HVAC Controls / Building Automation space. You will lead the project team through all facets of the project, manage project financials, administration, implementation, and customer satisfaction, and serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders. The portfolio will contain multi‑building or complex controls projects.

In this role, you will mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert on HVAC controls for the business.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics, or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Strong interest in building automation and controls
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the HVAC/controls industry
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, Niagara (required)
  • DDC controller programming, third‑party device integration with BACnet and Modbus (required)
  • Experience with mechanical system operation
  • Basic understanding of the construction process (preferred)
  • Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills
  • Competency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Automated Logic WebCTRL experience (plus)
Duties
  • Develop custom energy reporting, power metering, trending, and billing programs.
  • Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for building automation systems for submission to project engineers/teams.
  • Develop BMS software databases (programming and graphics) in accordance with engineering documents and project specifications.
  • Design, integrate and support network migration for Internet/Ethernet/BACnet/Modbus platforms.
  • Maintain accurate As‑Built drawing package and update AutoCAD, Visio, Excel and Word drawings as required.
  • Visit the field as necessary to adjust design sequences to operate correctly with the actual system(s) and remain on site as needed to complete functional checkout and commissioning activities in support of technicians to meet project schedules.
