This position is responsible for providing technical assistance,support, and knowledge transfer,regarding the maintenance,testing,andtroubleshootingofnumerous
FireDetection Systems, Gas Detection,andFire Suppression Systems located throughout NYCTlocations.
Responsibilitiesalsoincludecritical systemissueresolution,performingdiagnostics,andactingasliaison withvarioussupportandmaterial vendors;reviewing specifications,new installations,upgrades, design drawings, fieldinspections, surveys, and conducting trainingforin-house operations staff.
This position willinteractwith
Construction Managers andsupportgroupsthroughout theconstructionprocess toensurethese systemsareinstalledandmaintainableinaccordancetoapplicableNYCTPolicies,NFPA,State,andLocal
Codes.
- Experience in life safety system design, plan review, and commissioning .
- Indepth knowledge ofthe
Building andFireCodes of the State of New York, NYC Fire Prevention Code, NYCFire Department Rules and Regulations, and National Fire Protection Association Standards . - NYS Code Enforcement Certification , NICET I, II, III, or IV Certification
- Strong Analytical, Technical, and Communications skills
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.
