Senior Recruitment Consultant for Pro Source Group New York

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join a prestigious global consultancy at their New York City office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take a lead role in cost planning and commercial management on high-profile, complex projects. If you are confident managing budgets, advising clients, and mentoring junior team members within a consultancy environment, we would love to hear from you.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the preparation and management of cost estimates, tender documentation, and budgets.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies, value engineering, and risk management.
• Monitor and report on project costs, forecasting, and financial performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Negotiate and manage change orders and commercial claims.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, and contract reviews with key stakeholders.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior cost management staff.
• Ensure accuracy in cost reporting, billing, and compliance with contractual and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams including project managers, engineers, and design consultants.

To be successful in your application, you will have:

• 7–10 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or estimating, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver accurate, data-driven cost advice.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
• Professional membership or working toward MRICS is desirable.
