Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager - Gateway

Role Description

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States – the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the construction work plans and regular reporting on compliance and environmental permitting requirements.

• Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities.
• Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance.
• Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and contract specifications to the environmental compliance team.
• Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance.
• Interpret scientific data and specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline.
• 8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections.

• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers).

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $155,000.
