Senior Diffusion Engineer

Acara Solutions is seeking a Furnace Engineer for our client in Hopewell Junction, NY.

• Salary: $114,000 - $193,700 + bonus

• Own furnace processes and support ASM, TEL, and Bruce equipment performance
• Drive process and equipment improvements to increase yield, throughput, and cost efficiency
• Design, execute, and document experiments using sound engineering methods
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, time‑sensitive production issues
• Utilize data analysis and SPC techniques to guide decisions
• Support daily lot disposition and process control in furnace operations
• Identify and resolve tool performance shifts
• Contribute to sustaining efforts, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Minimum 7 years of semiconductor processing experience or similar
• Experience with furnace processes (ASM, TEL, and/or Bruce equipment)
• Strong data analysis skills (Excel or JMP; pivots, formulas, charts)
• Experience working cross‑functionally to meet production goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills with ability to present technical information
• Self‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with FMEA or risk analysis methodologies
