Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States – the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). In this role, the manager will review construction work plans and regularly report on compliance and environmental permitting requirements for the project.
Role Accountabilities- Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities.
- Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance.
- Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and contract specifications to the environmental compliance team.
- Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance.
- Interpret scientific data and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline.
- 8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area.
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers).
Arcadis offers benefits for full‑time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $155,000;
actual salaries vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
