This Product Design Engineer role exists to own the engineering on retail display programmes end to end, from concept through mass production and beyond.
- Turncreativerendersintobuildableprototypeswiththein-housemodelshop.
- Produceyourownproductiondrawings,fulldrawingpacksandBOMs.
- Designmatingplasticpartswithtolerancesthataccountforshrinkageandwarp.
- Takeprogrammesfromteststoresthroughtomassproductionacrossthousandsofstores.
- Gethands-onwithinstallsaroundtheUSafewtimesayear.
- Solid Works, used for real production work. This is non-negotiable.
- A solid background as a Product Design Engineer, Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer in high-volume manufacturing.
- Provenexperiencewithinjectionmoulding,includingmatingparts,plussheetmetalexposure.
- Sounddesignformanufacture(DFM) judgementonhigh-volumeplasticparts.
- Nopointofsaleexperienceneeded.
