As our new Resident Engineer, you will engage in various levels of complexity construction related projects which will require the application of standard construction techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related construction/engineering tasks. You must be capable of collaborating, making evaluations and interpretations, exercising independent judgment and selecting standard engineering/construction techniques to make design adaptations and modifications.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Utilizing knowledge acquired in obtaining an engineering or construction management degree to analyze the engineering concepts of a project.
- Overseeing construction management personnel to ensure quality assurance in procedures, methods and materials follow those specified in the contract documents. Oversight of multidisciplinary construction teams including contractors, designers, and engineers.
- Utilizing knowledge of technical components of a project to ensure those components meet the engineering requirements of the contract documents.
- Preparing cash flow/budgeting calculations from a critical path schedule and schedule of values in order for the project owner to accurately budget total project cost and to monitor contractors’ progress and scheduled completion.

You will be part of the Water US, Construction Management Division with a focus on supporting the delivery of Ramboll’s municipal water construction projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Required in the state of New York
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or construction management
- Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work
- Contract management
- Management of multidisciplinary teams, 5+ personnel
- Construction QA/QC
Additional Certifications and
Qualifications:
- CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, or NICET certifications.

Salary Transparency:
At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $200,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
