When you join us as a Cost Estimator, you’ll be responsible for- Developing capital cost estimates for transportation/Railroad projects.
- Reviewing contractor proposals for various procurement types.
- Reviewing and validating change orders.
- Interfacing with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
- Maintaining organized and detailed files, project records and logs.
- Attending project meetings as required.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in transportation projects.
- Project experience with MTA‑LIRR.
- Willingness and ability to be on project site(s).
- Proficient use of MS Office products.
- Proficient use of HCSS (Heavy Bid) estimating software.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
- Substantial professional years of estimating and construction experience.
- Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule.

SalaryThe base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
