Senior Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team on a hybrid schedule at our Alexandria, VA, NYC, Newark, NY or Boston, MA headquarters (Hybrid – North Old Town Alexandria has free shuttle service to the local Metro Station, free street parking nearby).

• Provide Commissioning and Construction Administrative including engineering and technical support on ongoing projects
• Review designs and lead and direct onsite commissioning activities, including technical documentation and contractual requirements
• Ensure all aspect of construction project are designed, installed, tested and maintained
• Assist with identification and addressing of commissioning and construction MEP/FP system operational issues.
• Responsibilities include development of Commissioning Plans, specifications and finial Commissioning Report. ”Cradle to Grave”
• Maintain strong client relationships
• Troubleshoot technical MEPFP related issues
• The ability to act as a liaison between Vanderweil Engineers (PIC, Project Manager and engineers), end client(owner) and contractor (including subcontractors)
• 8+ years’ experience in related field (on-site construction experience is required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or related trade experience
• Understanding of HVAC controls
• MEP/FP design and construction experience is required
• PE, CX, and LEED Certification is a plus

Compensation range is $135,000 - $175,000, plus bonus and mileage eligible commensurate with years of experience, professional licensure, project exposure, and education.
