Junior Engineer (Construction)
Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking a Junior Engineer to join our Construction Management 2 – South Queens – Section 2 team. The successful candidate will be provided with hands-on training and will contribute to a range of engineering tasks, from moderate to complex. Responsibilities include conducting research studies, engineering investigations, and assessments related to various engineering functions.
Additionally, the candidate will carry out civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under the supervision of an Engineer-In-Charge and/or Resident Engineer. The scope of work and training encompasses one or more of the following specialized areas: design, drafting, engineering investigations, cost estimation, specification writing, structural calculations, conducting field surveys, and participating in design-related site inspections.
The applicant must be ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified or take the first available DDC-offered training session.

All candidates must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.). In compliance with Public Law 99-603, candidates are required to present original documents proving citizenship or the legal right to work in the U.S. Credentials from foreign institutions require independent equivalency verification from an approved evaluation service.

Salary: $59,747.00 – $68,709.00
