We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor based in Queens, NY, seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial projects across the five boroughs of New York City.

We are looking for a well-rounded estimator with a strong mechanical background and experience pricing a wide range of HVAC work, including both piping and sheet metal systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling projects from initial bid review through final proposal submission.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC/mechanical projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC systems, including piping and sheet metal
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Analyze project scope and identify value engineering opportunities
• Prepare bid packages and pricing proposals
• Work closely with project managers and operations teams during handover
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients

Requirements include:

• Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator within commercial construction
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation methods, and mechanical construction
• Experience estimating both piping and sheet metal packages
• Familiarity with commercial projects and NYC construction environments preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
