This role involves a commitment to safety, compliance, and technical expertise within Air Liquide. Responsibilities encompass strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures and standards, such as NFPA 70E and NFPA 70 (NEC). The individual must provide technical assistance in medium/high voltage systems, motors, substations, and distribution equipment along with 480V equipment. Critical responsibilities include managing the reliability and safe operation of a 138kV/13.2kV substation, serving as the primary contact for site electrical matters, and conducting regular inspections.

Preventive maintenance and support during facility turnarounds are essential, as is overseeing vendor shop repairs for high voltage equipment and motors. Additionally, the role involves project management, including developing project scopes, coordinating external vendors, and implementing reliability initiatives. The overarching goal is to ensure safety, efficiency, reliability, and quality within the organization’s electrical operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and comply with all Air Liquide safety, health, and environmental procedures and policies

• Comply with NFPA 70E and NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements

• Comply with all training requirements (Smart Solve, Cornerstone CBTs, Corporate, Onsite, Electrical Safety etc.)

• Provide technical assistance and expertise in the areas of medium/high voltage; synchronous and induction motors, substations, and distribution equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair 480V MCC starters, contractors and controls.

• Partner with plant operations personnel to resolve electrical issues in steam boilers, water treatment systems, and electrical substation.

• Ensure reliability and safe operation of 138kV/13.2kV substation

• Serve as primary customer contact for substation issues and perform switching operations as needed

• Perform substation rounds (check relays for alarm condition, ensure proper voltage level to customers, inspect substation batteries, climate control systems, etc.)

• Coordinate and support preventive maintenance (PM) of electrical equipment

• Support turnarounds as needed at pipeline facilities (ASU, Cogen, H2) by completing PM…
