Job Summary

Under limited supervision, works on complex and detailed projects to create and maintain assembly instructions for the manufacturing operation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepares and maintains data storage on the Jabil computer network and master files per ISO standards.
  • Prepares and implements Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) for manufacturing assembly instructions
  • Interprets customer documentation, drawings and blueprints for defining manufacturing process flow
  • Work closely with the process area and engineering to define and streamline process flow
  • Order stencils as needed, per stencil procedure
  • Leads the update of SAP routing and production status
  • Leads the publishing of the weekly and monthly reports of department performance in accordance to established standards
  • Participate in and support special projects as needed. Project teams may include Agile and SAP
  • Participate as needed as a team member in the Engineering group
  • May be required to work overtime
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications Knowledge Requirements
  • Responsible for generating, publishing and updating plant level WI and Procedure within the scope of Engineering Change Management.
  • Responsible in overseeing and ensuring that plant performance indicators across workcells are met.
  • Observe the role of SME for the processes within Engineering Change Management.
  • Work alongside with system SME for processes that require system enhancement. The processes mentioned here is within the scope of Engineering Change Management.

    Manage and lead plant level process improvement related to Engineering Change Management.
  • Serve as focal person to communicate process and system updates and/or statuses to regional Engineering Change Management.
  • Support new product introduction, process improvements, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities (in LEAN Kaizen project.
  • Provide leadership in strategizing, planning, executing and meeting Kaizen Project submission target set within Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Provide guidance and advice on methods, procedures, standardization and requirements within the scope of engineering change coordinator role across workcells within the plant.
  • Owner and coordinator of weekly plant Engineering Change Management meeting.
  • Monitor and strategize to improve overall plant performance indicators within the scope of Engineering Change Management.
  • Monitor and ensure ECN compliance is met across workcells within the plant.
  • Actively keep track of potential ECN non compliance and push product owners to rectify non compliance data on a timely manner.
  • Observe the role of audit advisor during internal and external audit related to ECN topics alongside Change Coordinator of the workcell. Ownership remains with workcell Change Coordinator.
  • Determine appropriate collaborators based upon change order content & Facilitates change with process owner. (e.g. Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, Inventory Analyst, Business & etc) to establish the readiness in the implementation of ECN at plant level.
  • Coordinate meetings with Change Coordinator Leads to ensure regular review of ECN movement throughout workcells in plant.
  • Publishing weekly and monthly reports of workcell ECN performance across plant in accordance to established standards.
  • Provide SME support to workcell Change Coordinator as and when needed. Change Management sector leads must be approached and exhausted before reaching out to Engineering Change Section Manager.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities within the engineering change scope.
  • Adhere to all safety, security and health rules and regulations.
  • Understand and Comply with Change Management procedures and work instruction within quality system requirement.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Engineering/ technical Degree or Masters, or equivalent qualification to oversee Engineering Change Management.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Engineering Change Management, with proven leadership experience.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills with a good work ethic and verifiable track record.
  • Must be proficient with windows based, software applications. Customer oriented with strong interface skills and a general understanding of a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have in-depth data crunching and presentation skills.
