Junior HVAC Estimator

A growing mechanical contractor is seeking a Junior HVAC Estimator to support estimating and preconstruction efforts across commercial mechanical projects. The company specializes in HVAC systems for commercial buildings throughout the New York market and is looking for someone who wants to grow long term within estimating and project operations.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career with HVAC experience who wants exposure to commercial estimating, bidding, and design-build coordination.

• Assist with preparing HVAC estimates and bid proposals
• Perform material and labor takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Review HVAC plans, specs, and scope documents
• Support senior estimators with budgeting and bid coordination
• Solicit and track vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Use Bluebeam and estimating software for takeoffs and documentation
• Assist with change order pricing and estimate revisions
• Coordinate with project managers and operations teams during handoff
• Help maintain estimating logs, bid documents, and proposal packages

• 1–3 years of HVAC or mechanical construction experience required
• HVAC estimating experience preferred but not required
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong interest in long-term growth within estimating or project management
