Factory Automation Engineer

If you are our Factory Automation Engineer in HP, you will:

  • Lead and spearhead smart manufacturing initiatives by collaborating with internal teams (Operations, Process, Factory System, NPI, and Product Engineering) as well as external System Integrators. This entails conceptualizing, designing, and executing tooling automation projects to support NPI efforts, POR projects and enhance business resilience strategies.

  • Directly engage with the procurement team to oversee the acquisition of capital expenditures (CAPEX) related to tooling and automation projects.

  • Take ownership of technical and quality leadership in partnerships with external System Integrators, overseeing project technical risks and continuity plans.

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements while continuously seeking innovative approaches to integrate advancements in Industry 4.0 manufacturing solutions, fostering the development of a Smart Factory environment.

  • Develop thorough project management plans from initiation to completion, includes contingency measures to ensure the successful achievement of project objectives within defined schedule and cost. This involves establishing and monitoring project cash flow commitments.

  • Manage the installation, integration, and validation of tooling into existing manufacturing systems, ensure that the tools meet the project scope and test plans, while complies to HP safety regulatory and industry standards.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, testing protocols, and project reports.
