Office Engineer

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a Related Field. Active NICET III or IV certification.

Experience in Project Scheduling, Project Management Software, and Budgeting

SJH Engineering, P.C. (SJH) is a full-service consulting engineering firm with offices in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ, and Alpharetta, GA. We are seeking a full-time, on-site Office Engineer to join our team! This role is being advertised for projected civil infrastructure projects in the New York area. This position has the unique opportunity to independently perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard construction engineering techniques!

• Maintenance of construction project records.
• Interface with the Resident Engineer and Senior inspection staff on various facets of the project, including contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.
• Attend project meetings.
• Assist with the preparation of meeting reports and monthly progress reports and maintain detailed logs.
• Review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
• Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements.
• Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural, Civil, Industrial, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or in Construction Management or NICET III/IV is required.
• Familiar with project scheduling and project management software (PIMS).
• Must have experience with project/program budgeting.
• Experience as a site manager preferred.
