Electrical Design Engineer II

TTM is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer II to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment and systems. Provides analysis related to the design, development and implementation.
- Design, develop, and maintain hardware/firmware for embedded systems used in aerospace and defense mission applications
- Develop and implement FPGA logic using VHDL or Verilog for signal processing, communications, and control applications
- Write, optimize, and debug firmware for bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded microcontroller/microprocessor systems (ARM, PowerPC, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to review schematics, PCB layouts, and interface designs to ensure firmware compatibility
- Develop firmware drivers for peripherals including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe, and MIL-STD-1553/ARINC-429
- Participate in the full firmware development lifecycle: requirements capture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and verification
- Apply DO-254 and/or DO-178C standards where applicable for airborne avionics and defense systems
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and test procedures
- Support hardware bring-up, lab debugging, and field integration activities
- Work within configuration management systems (Git, SVN) and adhere to established development processes and coding standards

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Additional compensation:
An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
