Civil Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to support a large portfolio of capital improvement and facility infrastructure projects across commercial buildings, service centers, and operational facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of structural engineering challenges, including renovation projects, facility assessments, maintenance support, and capital improvement initiatives. • Engineer and design projects supporting capital improvement and facility maintenance programs.
• Conduct field assessments and investigations of structural issues within commercial and industrial facilities.
• Evaluate and analyze structural concerns including cracks, settlement, deterioration, roofing systems, and building components.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design packages, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Support renovation and facility improvement projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, roofing systems, and building infrastructure.
• Perform structural evaluations related to HVAC equipment installations and roof loading capacity.
• Conduct root cause analyses and investigations of structural incidents and facility issues.
• Develop project budgets, cost-benefit analyses, conceptual studies, and appropriation requests.
• Coordinate with internal design teams, consulting engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support for commercial buildings, service centers, and operational facilities.
• Participate in site visits and inspections as required throughout the project lifecycle.
