Access Solutions has a hybrid opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Generalist
. Reporting to the Operations Director, the EH&S Generalist is responsible for leadership support to oversee Environmental, Health and Safety programs across Access Solutions in the USA. Manage/lead the EH&S function, and provide strategic direction, leadership, and technical support to advance EH&S programs with a primary focus on compliance with all local, state, federal, and Carrier EH&S related requirements.

We require a highly energetic, self-driven, and dedicated EH&S professional. Advanced English written and oral communication skills and the ability to excel in a matrix environment, while working in a fast-paced team-based work setting is required. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership and analytical skills. In addition, an understanding and knowledge of legal EH&S requirements including OSHA/EPA requirements is essential.

The EH&S Generalist can be based out of Pittsford, NY or Salem OR.

• Provide leadership and build partnerships at several sites across all levels of Access Solutions to foster EH&S culture improvement; adhere to EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations; and guide all employees to ensure adherence to company EH&S Procedures and Standard Practices
• Work on cross-functional projects that interface with other groups, external to and within the core EH&S team
• Ensure timely risk assessments and adequate controls for EH&S processes
• Assist in the identification of Health & Safety hazards and the development of controls to mitigate risks including ergonomic improvements
• Conduct EH&S audits; audit the compliance to Carrier policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; maintain and improve environmental regulatory compliance initiatives; and evaluate the effectiveness of EH&S programs
• Manage worker’s compensation program including claims management, and return-to-work coordination
• Provide timely information and guidance to the site leadership team, and site EH&S council, including EH&S performance trends, and root cause corrective actions for injuries and "near misses"
• Drive action plans to meet and exceed aggressive EH&S goals
• Lead and instruct EH&S training courses, and ensure that required training is completed
• Develop and implement strategic action plans to achieve the company goal of having a hazard-free workplace

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years plus of EH&S experience in manufacturing/warehouse, research, development or commercial setting

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety
• Leadership, organization, and project management skills
• Certification in Environmental, Safety or Health, Risk Management i.e., CIH, CSP
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Communicate effectively in English
• Interact on all levels of the organization and with external agencies
• Understanding of standard EH&S reporting methods and metrics
• Success in leading and implementing site and/or corporate EH&S programs and systems
• Influence and drive EH&S initiatives whilst working in a diverse, multicultural environment
• EH&S risk assessment, program evaluation and auditing
• Knowledge, understanding and compliance with Environment, Health and Safety regulations, standard concepts, practices and procedures
