Location: New York
Chief Engineer is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all engineering, technical, and maintenance functions within the hotel. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of a five‑star property and supporting exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Engineering Operations Management
:
Oversee daily engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently. - Preventive Maintenance
:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life‑safety systems. - Team Leadership
:
Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team, ensuring high performance, safety compliance, and professional development. - Budget & Cost Control
:
Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize energy consumption and operational costs. - Health & Safety Compliance
:
Ensure full compliance with local regulations, Hyatt standards, and international safety requirements. - Project Management
:
Oversee renovation, repair, and upgrade projects, coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders. - Crisis & Emergency Response
:
Maintain readiness for emergencies and ensure proper functioning of fire‑life safety systems. - Guest Support
:
Respond promptly to guest concerns related to engineering and maintenance, ensuring high satisfaction.

Qualifications- Technical
Education:
Degree or diploma in - Hotel Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of engineering leadership experience in a luxury hotel environment. - Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical distribution, water treatment, boilers, chillers, fire‑life safety.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver high‑quality technical operations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills in English and Russian.
