Empowered Cities is seeking a Senior Plan Examiner for the Asbestos Technical Review Unit (A-TRU) in New York. You will oversee the technical review of asbestos-related building projects, ensuring conformity with the NYC Construction Codes, Energy Code, and related regulations.
You will lead examiners, develop procedures, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with DEP and other agencies, including field inspections and incident responses as needed.
