Location: New York

Job Summary

TYLin is looking for an internship in our New York office for the Fall of 2026 focusing on rail and transit projects. The intern will assist engineers and engineering staff with design, planning, and construction support.

Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
  • Perform quantity take-offs.
  • Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
  • Assist with computer modeling.
  • Assist with producing progress reports.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff.
  • Assist in production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision of senior engineers.
  • Apply proper codes and standards in the production of engineering deliverables.
  • Attend site visits or inspections.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, efficient prioritization and multitasking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a team.
  • Strong commitment to integrity, ethical behavior.
  • Commitment to innovation and continuous learning, passion for new skills and improvements.
Education and Experience
  • Current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate, or current graduate student in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Micro Station.
Benefits & Compensation

Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, pay equity committed.
