Location:

Empire State Building office in New York, NY. Position within the Transportation group.

STV currently has an opening for a Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer who will design new bridges, rehabilitate existing bridges, perform quality assurance, and mentor entry‑level staff. The person will work on highway bridges, railroad bridges, and transportation facilities structures in New York.

• Design and analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit.
• Participate in Design Build Projects and pursuits.
• Perform quality assurance on transportation projects.
• Contract document production, including drawings and specifications.
• Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD.
• Review construction phase submittals.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license required; NY licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 5 plus years of experience.
• Knowledge of New York agencies and projects: NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDCC, Port Authority of NY.
• Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Specification writing, cost estimating, mentoring, and quality assurance skills.
