UCT is looking for a talented Engineer III to join us in Malaysia!
Job Summary
Responsible for executing electropolishing (EP), passivation, and precision cleaning processes for stainless steel and plastic components to meet ultra-high purity and semiconductor industry standards. Ensure all parts meet surface finish, cleanliness, and corrosion-resistance requirements per customer specifications (e.g., SEMI standard). This role also responsible for process development, process sustainability, new equipment installation, chemical control hands-on, and supporting production ramp-up to meet semiconductor and ultra-high-purity standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, setup, and qualification of Electropolishing (EP) and Passivation processes to achieve required surface finish, cleanliness, and productivity targets.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EP, passivation and cleaning processes to meet customer and internal requirements.
- Define process control plans, PFMEA, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as SEMI F19 and ASTM standard (knowledge of these standards is an advantage).
- Support for new machine qualification (FAT/SAT) until site installation completion.
- Support customer audits, qualifications, and technical reviews.
- Work closely with QA to resolve NCR and process deviations.
- Speaks fluent English, good communication abilities, experience in communicating projects in global company.
- Ambitious and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to function independently with attention to details.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or metallurgical with a strong understanding of electrochemistry and materials science.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma Greenbelt is highly added advantage.
Experience Requirement:
- Knowledge and experience in electro-chemical processes such as electro-polishing or plating.
- Knowledge and experience in post-treatment process such as passivation and precision cleaning for stainless steel and plastic product.
- Hands-on experience in wet process field especially chemical process.
- Knowledge and experience in designing electro-chemical fixtures. Hands-on with CAD is highly added advantage.
- Knowledge and familiarity with SEMI F19 and standard, or equivalent is highly added advantage.
- Good practical knowledge of wastewater treatment systems operation.
- Good practical knowledge of ultra-high purity water systems operation.
