Overall Responsibility

The Product Engineer leverages their expertise in both electrical and mechanical design for the continuous advancement of the commercial heating equipment product lines with regards to safety, quality, reliability, features, cost, and manufacturability in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy.

Accountabilities:

  • Product Engineering Changes – Effectively coordinates, communicates and completes Engineering Changes on time, correctly, and in accordance with Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Drawings - Responsible for creating, reviewing, releasing and maintaining of complete and accurate electrical and mechanical drawings for operations and sales.
  • Design Integrity – Designs and simplifies parts, assemblies, and end products in line with market requirements, technical advancement opportunities, and manufacturability. Develops practical solutions within the current or planned manufacturing capabilities of the company and partners.
  • Validation - Performs rigorous hardware qualification to ensure parts and systems meet reliability and durability standards and align with user experience goals, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product to customers.
  • Codes and Standards, Compliance and Certification – Coordinates with Quality and Compliance personnel to ensure all products, new and existing, meet applicable codes and standards.
  • Technical Resource – Supports technical documentation and marketing literature. Provides training and support to internal teams and customers. Serves as a subject matter expert delivering timely and effective assistance in a professional and customer focused manner.

Qualifications (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

  • Expertise in both Electrical and Mechanical product design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
    Electrical or Mechanical. 3+ years industry experience preferred.
  • Electrical Design, Schematic and Layout proficiency;
    Autodesk Electrical and Altium preferred.
  • Parametric (3D CAD) modeling proficiency;
    Autodesk Inventor preferred.
