Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a construction/field engineer to join our TYLin PMCM team for an upcoming electrical project.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and work with inspectors for field reviews, data collection and analysis, studies and forecasting.
- Verify construction documents against field conditions.
- Conduct in‑depth research to develop recommendations for approaches, concepts, materials and equipment selection.
- Collect and manage data for engineering or construction work, including quantity take‑offs for engineering estimates.
- Ensure drawings, calculations, and designs comply with company production and design standards and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
- Prepare project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets, and monitor progress reports.
- Assist in change‑order negotiations with contractors.
- Review contractor invoicing to verify quantities and enter contractor invoices into the client’s online system.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
- BS in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred with an electrical background.
- EIT certification preferred.
- 1+ year of construction (office) engineer experience required.
- Previous infrastructure construction experience with a city agency such as MNR is a plus.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Experience coordinating with multiple contractors and trades in the field.
- Knowledge of meeting construction schedules and budgets.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. The base compensation range for this position is $86,900 – $110,300 annually for the local market. Each candidate’s unique skills, experience, education and competencies will be reflected in the final offer.
