Our client is seeking an experienced environmental consulting professional to join their growing New York City team as a Senior Environmental Project Director within their Brownfield Real Estate group.
Unlike many senior consulting roles, this position is not dependent on bringing a book of business
. The team has a substantial backlog of work and is looking for a senior technical leader who can immediately help deliver complex Brownfield and real estate redevelopment projects across the New York metropolitan area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading technically challenging projects, mentoring staff, and working directly with clients without the pressure of building a business from scratch.

- Lead complex Brownfield redevelopment and environmental investigation/remediation projects from planning through completion.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Serve as a technical leader on environmental due diligence, site investigation and remediation projects.
- Review technical data, develop conceptual site models and provide practical remediation recommendations.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, project managers and technical staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting ongoing business development activities.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Help continue the growth and technical excellence of the New York office.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Approximately 15+ years of environmental consulting experience.
- Strong experience managing Brownfield redevelopment, contaminated site investigation and remediation projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong project management skills with responsibility for budgets, schedules and client communication.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of New York environmental regulations and redevelopment projects is highly desirable.
- Professional licensure (PE, PG or similar) is preferred but not required.
