Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing

The Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.

Responsibilities:

• Support development of production test strategies based on product design specification
• Test Development:
  Design and implement test strategies, including In-Circuit Testing(ICT), Functionality Testing, Boundary Scan, and Flying Probe.
• Debugging &Troubleshooting:
  Debug PCB Failures using Oscilloscopes, multimeters, and high voltage power supplies to identify root causes.
• Process Optimization:
  Improve PCB test coverage and manufacturing cycle times to enhance yields.
• Documentation:
  Create detailed test plans, reports, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with design teams to improve the testability of new PCB designs.
• Develop test plans and requirements for customer products including both hardware and software elements
• Lead the procurement, qualification, and installation support for manufacturing for a large customer
• Provide project leadership, including management of (and communication with) team members, suppliers for comprehensive test deployments including structural, functional, system, stress and final test applications for a large customer
• Work with Design to enhance solutions with feedback from product testability, test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics and user experience.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations

Qualifications:

• 6+ years as a Test Engineer
• Generally 6years of experience in hardware testing, manufacturing, or QA roles
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
