Client is seeking a highly experienced Sr. BIM Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering and BIM coordination efforts across complex commercial, industrial, institutional, and mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Revit-based electrical design, electrical systems coordination, BIM workflows, and construction-phase engineering support. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, advanced technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and project-specific standards.

• Lead the electrical engineering lifecycle from conceptual design through project closeout.
• Design and maintain advanced Revit models for: power systems, lighting systems, grounding systems, telecommunications, fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Conduct technical calculations including arc flash analysis, voltage drop analysis, fault current calculations, load calculations.
• Review and apply NEC, NFPA, AHJ, and client-specific requirements.
• Ensure constructability and seamless coordination across all trades.

• Lead BIM/Revit coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Conduct BIM clash detection reviews and model walkthroughs.
• Maintain BIM standards and compliance with company/client protocols.
• Coordinate project deliverables using BIM 360/Client and collaboration platforms.

• Review shop drawings, as-builts, and field modifications.
• Support field teams with troubleshooting and design adjustments.
• Conduct site inspections to validate installation compliance with engineered plans.
• Provide engineering guidance during construction execution phases.

• Support project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and budget tracking.
• Manage multiple engineering priorities and shifting project deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Provide technical consulting throughout project execution.

• Mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians.
• Lead training initiatives related to Revit workflows and electrical design standards.
• Drive process improvements and BIM optimization initiatives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Engineer within construction, design-build, electrical contracting environments.
• Strong NYC construction/project experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating with electrical contractors strongly preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, BIM 360 / Client, Procore.
• Experience supporting mission-critical or large commercial facilities.
• Experience leading BIM teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of field installation coordination and construction workflows.

• Onsite/project-based role in Queens County, NY.
• Frequent collaboration with field teams and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Fast-paced construction and engineering environment.
• Frequent travel to project sites as required.
